The Game
Dartmour is a first-person CRPG set in a decaying medieval world where ancient rituals have gone wrong and the land itself bears the scars. Inspired by the vast open worlds of Daggerfall and the raw, oppressive atmosphere of Gothic - no hand-holding, no quest markers, no safety net.
You are not a chosen hero. You are a survivor navigating a world that does not care whether you live. Every choice carries weight. Every mistake costs something real.
Core Pillars
A custom stamina collapse system punishes reckless play. Cold, hunger, and exhaustion are real threats - not just numbers on a bar.
Visceral, first-person combat where positioning and timing matter. Every swing of your axe has consequence.
The demo features a 2×2 km terrain with a fully placed village, interiors, day/night cycle, and enemies that patrol and react. A foundation - not the ceiling.
No cutscenes. No speech wheels. The story is hidden in glyphs, architecture, and the silence of a village that should not be standing.
Proof of Concept
The Dartmour demo — Tablets of the Ancients — is a playable vertical slice of the full game vision. It is live on Steam. Free to play.
Support the Vision
Dartmour is built by a single developer. The demo proved the world is worth exploring. Now the goal is to build the full game — wider, deeper, and uncompromising. If you believe in this kind of RPG, your support makes it real.
